'Inside the Box' in collaboration with BHASVIC Visual Arts and GBMet Art Foundation
We are thrilled that we have alumni, current Visual Arts students and a year 10 student at Patcham High School all taking home prizes. The two winners received a bumper box of Art supplies from Seawhites of Brighton and the runners up got a smaller kit.

Thank you James Moncrieff (Deputy Principal at BHASVIC) and Maria Edney (Head of Learning and Creative Industries at GBMET) for selecting such an eclectic mix of finalists.
Thank you also to George at GBMet for being our chief contact there, and Anna at Seawhites for donating the prizes. Lastly, big thank you to Katy and Georgia, our technicians who helped ‘market’ the competition.
Inside the Box - Visual Arts at BHASVIC brings together a community of creatives in collaboration with GBMet Art Foundation. The competition encouraged Students, Staff and our wider community (parents, carers, governors ) to be playful and innovative to create a piece of Art using a matchbox. The brief included using any type of matchbox – pulling it apart/stitching together/paint/coverup/rearranging…the creative choices explored were huge.
