Widening Participation launch event
We were delighted to welcome the universities of Brighton and Sussex earlier this month who presented on the support offered to students who are eligible for Widening Participation (WP). This is a scheme of support intended to increase the number of young people in Higher Education, particularly from under-represented groups. The aim is to create a diverse student body and ensure that all young people have the information and support they need to make informed decisions about their future. The sessions took place in the Sports Café over two days and were attended by over 120 students. As a follow-up, parents and carers were also invited to join BHASVIC at the University of Sussex campus on Thursday 30 November, for the WP launch.
