Physics students in action!
It has been a busy summer term for the physics staff and students. Our Engineering Education scheme exhibited their project on surface water run off at the Big Bang Fair South East and added the Institution of Mechanical Engineers engineering award to the Business award they won earlier in the year. The Greenpower racing team had a great race day at Goodwood, the home of motorsport. We raced two cars in the F24+ heat for students aged 16-25 with both cars managing to complete the whole hour of racing time. During the same fortnight our year one physics students have run year six science afternoons in local primary schools for around 175 pupils. At the end of these sessions the year sixes unanimously declared physics their favourite subject! Congratulations to all the students who have taken part in these activities.
