International Day of the Girl

On Tuesday 11 October, six A2 Sociology students were invited to celebrate 'International Day of the Girl' with @WOWisGlobal at The London Eye. WOW brought together 150 young people and 180 inspiring women from a huge range of professions and experience to discuss their dreams. Our students met with mentors from a range of backgrounds, and had the opportunity to discuss their career aspirations, ask advice and discuss barriers that they may face and how to overcome them. Students found it an overwhelmingly positive experience, saying it inspired them to do new and different things with their careers, and not feel restricted to one career path. The mentors were impressed with our students, their engagement and interest.
