Green Skills

As part of National Careers Week and BHASVIC’s theme of ‘Green Skills’, the University of Brighton came in to the Copper Café to speak to students about their higher education options in sustainability. Seniz was on hand to offer advice on future green career paths, such as Ecology or Politics. During the talk students were informed that:

• Climate Change requires a NetZero approach by 2050
• Economy and Industry are changing in response
• 1 in 5 jobs will be impacted through the need for new skills or retraining
• Over 60% of young people report negligible awareness of green skills and associated career opportunities
