Fashion Show 2025
Building on the success of last year's first ever fashion show, our Textile students put on another brilliant event in March. The sold-out show was themed around 'Brat' and we are proud to announce that we raised £1,000 for the Brighton Women's Centre through ticket sales. Our Textile students' outcomes truly embodied the Brat attitude, showcasing their creativity and boldness. An extract from the Head of Visual Arts, Sally Richardson's, speech explores the connection between creativity and the ‘Brat’ attitude:
"‘Brat’ is to take something that society might see as unruly or difficult, turning it into something brilliant. The messy, chaotic, non-linear nature of creativity is what makes it so exciting. Sometimes ideas don’t go as planned. Sometimes things fail. But those moments of risk and rebellion are often the birthplace of the most exciting designs."
The standard of work was mind blowing an one of our Governors commented ‘The fashion show was phenomenal! What an achievement for all involved! The student's creativity just blew me away’. Massive thanks to all the staff and students for making the night such a success and for everyone who came along to support the event.
