The Exchange

BHASVIC students are taking part in The Exchange - Brighton Festival Thursday 20 May 7pm -7.45pm approx to be streamed live online. As part of BHASVIC’s ongoing work with Arts Mentoring organisation LOOKOUT five students are participating in an event for this year’s Brighton Festival called The Exchange, and have spent the last couple of months collaborating on a one to one basis with internationally acclaimed artists to explore their creative passions and create new work. The project has generated images, films, music, monologues, fashion and more, and on Thursday 20 May at 7pm the participants will share with you some of what they’ve made together. The collaborations involve visual artist Lucy Cran, theatre maker and Artistic Director of Battersea Arts Centre’s Beatbox Academy, Conrad Murray, movement director Kane Husbands, cabaret artist Le Gateau Chocolat, Australian sound and site artist Madeleine Flynn plus young people working with local colleges and charities such as Amaze Sussex, Audio Active, BHASVIC, DV8 College, Hummingbird Project, Little Green Pig and Miss Represented.

The event will be live streamed from The Old Market in Hove and will be co-hosted by some of the young people involved, with BSL interpretation. Please book your free ticket here and spread the word!
